Tuesday, July 30, 2019, 10:00 a.m. The California Energy Commission will jointly conduct a workshop with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the California Air Resources Board (ARB) to discuss the status of implementing the recommendations developed in the Low-Income Barriers Study Part A: Overcoming Barriers to Energy Efficiency and Renewables for Low-Income Customers and Small Business Contracting Opportunities in Disadvantaged Communities and the Low-Income Barriers Study Part B: Overcoming Barriers to Clean Transportation Access for Low-Income Residents. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to identify additional actions to advance energy equity and explore emerging energy equity topics within the context of the objectives set forth in Senate Bill (SB) 350 (De León, Chapter 547, Statutes of 2015) and California’s goal to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
